MAC me Over

After a long period of deciding to stay in the states or settle for Hong Kong, well I am back HK. I think during my time in states, I really fully realized how I can go to events but definitely not some fashionable ones.

So last night I went to the MAC's MAC me over event at Central, Hong Kong. In the beginning, I thought it might turn up to be some small product selling party, but it turned up to be pretty cool. The crowd is quite mixed up, I see random celebrities on the floor (not the VIP section), and the most random people just sitting down on some ghetto leather blocks in the VIP(by VIP, the MAC only prepared a small section in the arena with some poles and strings attached along). So this event, they prepared a long table for make up artists and hair stylists to beautify the guests. They are promoting the new Fall look which is absolutely amazing!

I know, I know, can't see my outfit at all because the lights keep flashing like a disco. But I can assure you I looked cute!
I really wanted to get a "Mac me Over" too, but I already had full make up on and that line was wayy too lonngg.
Of course I party with pretty gal
We all got our hair done, but unfortunately, mine looked like crap, and it was done within 3 minutes
The best part of the whole event (besides the souvenirs) was getting 5,6, instant pix taken.
This is the stage, which one of the MAC Asia rep did a "morning to night" look on Taiwan's famous model Bai Yin Wei.
Last but not least, the Souvvvis! There was one lip conditioner hydrant, one lip gloss (I got the ugly color - PINKARAT, I would probably love it if I was still 12), and one Eyeliner in color Engraved.

This is the new set of colors I was talking about. From left, Rebel, Peach Stock, Prince Noir, and Secret Lover. I am sooo getting Peach stock and Secret Lover (Just for the name).

It was a nice event overall, well maybe not super nice, but it was time killing. They could improve on the seats, the snacks, and the drinks (GOD there was only vodka, what were they thinking, throwing a party with no champagne?!?)

Missed the Marc Jacobs Fall event tonight, but am super excited for Gucci tomorrow, update soon.

Ciao,

Last weekend in Hong Kong until going home =)

I had my interview with University Nottingham Trent for Fashion Business bachelor program, and honestly, I think I did quite bad =(. The lady in charge asked me many very specific questions about the field, and honestly if i knew all her answers, i probably wouldn't have to go to school anymore hahah. The program, if i get in, will be held in Hong Kong Design Institute, a gorgeous 110Million dollars constructed building.
 HKDI
Even the elevator room is full of pretty fashion pictures
How i dressed to my interview, i just wanted to  be myself without dressing too formal
hehe then i went out at night for drink and clubbing =)

cheers a few more days till i leave this sick place!

Gold Digger

Today I had an opportunity to work with Debbie Lo, one of the World Cup models for Hong Kong. The idea was by Lowell, the photographer. Main idea is just money and luxury (sort of my cup of tea). First he wanted to used hong kong or japanese money which i really rejected, then i asked him to print out USD or at least Euro...yup so here are a few sneak peaks before the actual photo gets done. So i named the title Gold Digger, LOL because shes a money loving woman!

These photos are by my iphone, so please excuse the quality of them.

Sauling had to apply make up on her at KFC, Central, because it was supposed to be an outdoor shoot. Then the heavy rain came, and we had to book a studio.
 At the studio, fixing everything
 Money Honey
I like the shots done in black background more. They are more sophisticated and stylish.

So I will upload the finish photo later!
Ciao, and damn i missed out on Tom Ford's birthday party last night at Dragon i

Then there is the i.t. opening at Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Many people might not know about i.t. as a brand oversea, but actually many hollywood star already discover this Hong Kong company full of international brands. I.T is a Hong Kong fashion conglomerate founded in 1988. It owns a number of Hong Kong brands which it retails as well as distributing European and Japanese brands such as French Connection and A Bathing Ape. It has a large presence in Asia, the only area where it does business.

At the signing board with 2 live toy soldiers, one offered to give me his walkie talkie

Always champagne at events right?
 Nice free souvenir
 Cute adorable glasses
These free icecream are made of vodka!! yummy

So i am in a terrible mood, that will be all...
update soon! Hopefully there will be more fabulous fashion events!

Damien Hirst

For art and fashion class today, Kary took us to the Gagosian Gallery at Central. The exhitibition of the moment is hosting Damien Hirst art pieces. At first, we all thought it would be boring since we saw some introduction of butterfly photos, but the trip turned out to be very insightful.

Damien Hirst 's theme this time is call "Forgotten Promises". All the his work surrounds the subject of life. The pieces are call "Pain", "Regret", "Tear of Joy","Tear of Sorrow", and so many more emotional titles along with artworks that required many thinking.

Here is Hirst with his interesting piece call Saint Bartholomew, made in Gold plated silver, seems like a satire of real thing. St B. here skinned himself alive while still holding the scalper up high and carrying his own skin like fur coat.

His hand made platinum skull head, full of white diamond. So realistic, i've notice most of his work is not balanced out perfectly, which i find awesome.
Overall my favorite piece is call "Cupid's Lie", it reminds me too much of Alexander McQueen. It's pure gold, it's un proportional skull, its darkness, i loved it!
I thought for a long time what did Cupid lie about? The skull here actually looks like its giggling.

Here is some photos of inspirations i got from today's exhibition. It might be a bit scary, i did scared myself and the maids.
This was my homework, my inspiration from the Cupid's Lie. My idea was death, but  a meaningful and beautiful way. Like McQueen, how far would you cross Death's last line?

Scared? Do i look like a fashionable skulllllady ?
Headdress: H&M black rose
Necklaces that i choked myself with: Topshop
Makeup: Black Maybelline Eyegel all over my eye lids and under my bags, black lipstick from MAC, i covered up my brows with Makeup Forever concealer,  Surrounded the eyegel with Gold eyeshadow from Nars.
