Jason Wu X Melissa

Finally I got my pair of Jason Wu crossover Melissa! Super exited to wear them! First I thought they might run out since it's freaking Jason Wu, but guess not due to lack of people knowing about JW in Hong Kong.

They are so comfortable and only cost $900.00 HK (130Usd around).

Run go get them! They come clear glittery black jelly, dark red jelly, light purple , and full black jelly.

Swatch Blum Auction dinner and gala

Another busy day as usual. After work, Melissa my co worker and I had to attend several events with our boss Barney Cheng. Getting to dress in Barney Cheng Couture is always the best part! I was dying when I couldn't find the right size of heels to match with my originally desired outfit!

So first we went the the private preview of Christie's for Elizabeth Taylor jewelry exhibition at Hong Kong convention center, those diamonds totally blinded my eyes. Twenty carats in one finger seemed unreal!

Then we hit intercontinental wan chai to see the Sotheby's jewelry show, it was honestly just ok. The style and the cut of diamonds certainly wasn't as interesting as the Elizabeth Taylor show.

Last but not least, we have arrived at the IFC Four Season for the Philips de Pury and Company event- the Swatch Blum auction dinner and gala. I am telling you, it was intense! Someone spend 45 million USD on a collection of Swatches ( named the Swatch Album). I think if I had 45 millions, I would probably buy properties, coutures, shoes and bags instead of swatches.... But again that's just me. I still remember my mother has the limited version of Kama Sutra Swatch with the Indian sultan having sex with his wife on the cover! Haha!

It was a great night, now I am heading now and preparing for another early morning for work 

Miss Lux working for Barney Cheng

I know I have nit updated for perhaps 25 years now!

Thats purely because I have a job now! And I got the most unbelievable job- Barney Cheng's admin assistant! Barney is Forbe's Top 25 most influential chinese designer, Michael Kors named him the Versace of Asia! This job is incredibly unreal! First, as inexperience as I am, being in the top fashion designer in Asia's gallery is insane!

To the main point, in first week of work, I have already got the opportunity to be the "official stylist" at the Macau's Glam Slam fashion show! I have also got the chance to help my boss with some reality tv show shoot. Work is tough but exciting everyday. Hope I wot be fired soon!!

Will update more soon!

somtimes i TokiDoki

Simone Legno is one talented grapher designer I had been in love with since i was 16. During that age, I didn't ask for gucci nor LV, but I remember begging my ex Tuan for a Tokidoki bag from Metro Park, Galleria Houston.

I randomly saw an ad talking about an Tokidoki exhibition at K11, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. So I woke up extra early and dragged my sick boyfriend out to check it out. Unfortunately I didn't get to see Simone; but the exhibition was exciting and super fun.

MAC me Over

After a long period of deciding to stay in the states or settle for Hong Kong, well I am back HK. I think during my time in states, I really fully realized how I can go to events but definitely not some fashionable ones.

So last night I went to the MAC's MAC me over event at Central, Hong Kong. In the beginning, I thought it might turn up to be some small product selling party, but it turned up to be pretty cool. The crowd is quite mixed up, I see random celebrities on the floor (not the VIP section), and the most random people just sitting down on some ghetto leather blocks in the VIP(by VIP, the MAC only prepared a small section in the arena with some poles and strings attached along). So this event, they prepared a long table for make up artists and hair stylists to beautify the guests. They are promoting the new Fall look which is absolutely amazing!

I know, I know, can't see my outfit at all because the lights keep flashing like a disco. But I can assure you I looked cute!
I really wanted to get a "Mac me Over" too, but I already had full make up on and that line was wayy too lonngg.
Of course I party with pretty gal
We all got our hair done, but unfortunately, mine looked like crap, and it was done within 3 minutes
The best part of the whole event (besides the souvenirs) was getting 5,6, instant pix taken.
This is the stage, which one of the MAC Asia rep did a "morning to night" look on Taiwan's famous model Bai Yin Wei.
Last but not least, the Souvvvis! There was one lip conditioner hydrant, one lip gloss (I got the ugly color - PINKARAT, I would probably love it if I was still 12), and one Eyeliner in color Engraved.

This is the new set of colors I was talking about. From left, Rebel, Peach Stock, Prince Noir, and Secret Lover. I am sooo getting Peach stock and Secret Lover (Just for the name).

It was a nice event overall, well maybe not super nice, but it was time killing. They could improve on the seats, the snacks, and the drinks (GOD there was only vodka, what were they thinking, throwing a party with no champagne?!?)

Missed the Marc Jacobs Fall event tonight, but am super excited for Gucci tomorrow, update soon.

Ciao,
